Engineer / Scientist with Expertise in Water Supply / Irrigation System Modelling and Design

Are you an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual looking for a new opportunity? We have a fantastic opening for the right person to join our team of flood and water management experts, solving some of the world’s most pressing water-related problems. In particular we are looking for an engineer / scientist with specific expertise in water supply and irrigation modelling and design. Experience with Innovyze WS / WSPro software or equivalent is essential.

About the role

You will work closely with team members to deliver projects and support clients across our Floods and Water Management Group. You will help develop and implement innovative solutions to sustainable development, climate adaptation, environmental protection and system resilience.
Although our specific immediate need relates to water supply and irrigation modelling and design, there will be longer term opportunities to get involved in other areas including water resource, flood risk, climate adaptation and resilience, urban drainage and the use of earth observation data. Our work cuts across regulatory, government and private sector consultancy and research sectors – both in the UK and internationally, and we are continuously generating new knowledge, skills and tools through our ongoing programme of internally funded cutting edge research.

About you

You will have technical knowledge and a strong interest in irrigation and water supply systems, hydrology and water resources including a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the use of relevant numerical models. Demonstration of an ability to show leadership experience on projects would be an advantage. You will have a minimum professional qualification of a BSc in a relevant discipline.
