Digital Data Licence Fees

The purchasing price of SeaZone Digital Data Licences is dependent on the data product you are buying and a number of other factors as detailed below.

With the launch of the SeaZone TruDepth data products, we have been conducting a pricing review which has meant there are now changes to the Data Licence prices for some bathymetry data products. Changes will affect:

• The licensing of  previously named Digital Survey Bathymetry (now TruDepth Points)
• The licensing of  previously named Digital Charted Bathymetry (now Charted Points)

Please see relevant section below for details. When Version 2 of HydroSpatial is launched later in 2011, SeaZone will conduct a similar pricing review.

HydroSpatial, Charted Raster and Charted Vector

When ordering HydroSpatial, Charted Raster or Charted Vector data:

Postage and Packaging is charged at £10.00 per supply to a UK address. Additional charges will apply for delivery by courier and overseas. VAT and other taxes will be charged at the prevailing rate at the time of supply.

*Licence Administration, Data Preparation and Support Fees include administration, third party royalties, data extraction and preparation, supporting files and symbology, plus technical support covering installation and general inquiries on data structure etc, relating to standard supply and supply formats. More detailed technical support may be subject to additional costs.

Data Usage Fees

Data Usage Fees are determined by the digital data product, the geographic extent of the data (number of Product Units), the type and number of users required and length of the licence. SeaZone offers data products for a range of different user requirements. Each product incurs different Data Usage Fees – please request a quote to find out more details for your required data product.

Data may be requested by product units, Admiralty Chart extents, SeaZone pre-defined areas or as custom areas. Examples of these are provided below as pdf images below. When ordering TruDepth Grids, please provide SZ tile names / product units or contact our sales team (sales@seazone.com) for more details.  

Data Usage Fees payable for custom areas will be based on the total number of complete or partial tiles supplied within, or intersecting, the custom area. An image will be supplied with all quotations (excl. TruDepth Grids) for custom areas showing the area of data to be supplied. Coverage images are shown below.

Licence Users

Two types of users are defined within the standard Digital Data Licence. Each user type is specified separately in the licence but each licence may contain any number of both Local and Remote Users (please refer to the Data Licensing Policy for definitions of Local and Remote Users).

Use of the data must not exceed the type and number of users specified in the Digital Data Licence.

The following User Number banding is used to ascertain user requirements and the associated Data Usage Multiplier.

Licence Term Discounts

SeaZone's standard licensing period is for one year. Extended licence periods are available, for which there is a discount. Payment for the entire period is due on commencement of the licence.

Policy Changes

SeaZone reserves the right to update, introduce and withdraw products, software and services at any time and to change its pricing and licensing conditions. SeaZone notifies existing licenses and software users with a current support contract of all pricing and policy changes directly, and through other media including the SeaZone website.
