Suez Canal to channel leading-edge research to stay at the max

The Suez Canal Authority (SCA) has asked us for support in its continual quest to maximise the potential of this crucial maritime route. We are to supply numerical and physical modelling systems to the SCA, which will help it to further develop the canal, ports and coastline, keeping it abreast with the evolution of vessels and maintaining a competitive edge.

ARCboat widens its image

HR Wallingford has been working in collaboration with ITER Systems to trial its Bathyswath-2 swath sonar system on HR Wallingford’s remotely-controlled survey vessel, the ARCboat. The swath sonar - deployed on the ARCboat - allowed a wide area of the River Thames bathymetry to be mapped in a single pass, compiling a detailed picture of the morphology and depth profile of the river bed. Continue reading ›
