ArcGIS Desktop software products allow you to author, analyse, map, manage, share and publish geographic information.
- ArcReader is a free, easy-to-use mapping application that allows users to view, explore and print maps and globes
- ArcView feature-rich GIS software for visualising, managing, creating and analysing geographic data.
- ArcEditor includes all the functionality of ArcView in addition to comprehensive GIS editing tools.
- ArcInfo is the most complete and extensible GIS available. It includes all the functionality of ArcView and ArcEditor and adds advanced geoprocessing and data conversion capabilities.
- ArcGIS Desktop Extensions New capabilities can be added to desktop products through a series of ArcGIS extensions from ESRI and other organisations, allowing tasks such as raster geoprocessing, three-dimensional visualisation and geostatistical analysis.
Server GIS products allow GIS functionality and data to be deployed from a central environment.
- ArcSDE is a server software product used to access massively large multiuser geographic databases stored in relational database management systems (RDBMSs). Its primary role is to act as the GIS gateway to spatial data stored in a RDBMS.
- ArcIMS delivers dynamic maps and GIS data and services via the Web. It provides a highly scalable framework for GIS Web publishing that meets the needs of corporate Intranets and demands of worldwide Internet users.
- ArcGIS Server is a comprehensive platform for delivering enterprise GIS applications that are centrally managed and support multiple users. +
